Kawaii Goods Review (That's Hopefully Kawaii and Good!)

Hello you, I hope you're good!

Today I have another super duper sparkly review for you from the independent store Kawaii Goods!

(Be prepared to have a bit of a boogie, there's some awesome tunes)

I believe all the accessories and art is designed and handmade by the owner, which makes all these products feel so much more special!

So let's start with the clothing!

(Click on the images to enlarge)

I got sent this really adorable pastel top in blue. The top isn't handmade, but the print is an original design to the store.
I usually don't go for this shape top unless it's really baggy, so I can wear it in a more boyish style, but the fitting of this top is really girly and I love how it sits on me. I got a size small (I'm a U.K size 6/8).
The design is screen printed on and I was a little worried it was going to fade really easily because the design is so pastel, but it's been washed in a 40 degrees cycle and the print is going strong!
It's also really comfy and soft, so I'm very happy with this top!

I also got sent soooo many accessories!

News Update

Hello you, I hope you're good!

You may have noticed my website's had a makeover. It's so much more fun and colourful, I hope you like it!
(EDIT: I am sorry about all the missing images, I had just completed it and google plus has decided to remove every single image on this site, so I have to replace all the images on my pages and on my blogposts. This may take a few days, I'm sorry!)

Quite a few exciting things have been happening over this past month, so I thought I would give you an update.

First off, I was given an interview in this District MTV article
I also got to have a photo shoot with Alis Pelleschi especially for the interview.
I  really loved how they turned out! The make up and the style is very different to what I usually do, but I'm really happy with them!
(click on the images to enlarge)

This one is my personal favourite! Hula hoops in a backpack omnomnomnom!

This crop top was really cool. It's made out of rubber material and I really love the pattern!
It's from Alis's own brand Meat Clothing

You may also spot that the wig I'm wearing is this lockshop one that I wear a lot. The stylists really made it look different, it's looks like a space barbie hair style!
They let me keep the really cute flower bobbles too, yey!

It was a really interesting photo shoot because she shot with Polaroids instead of a digital camera. It was quite nerving since I kind of had to get the photo's good in a couple of shots. It's not like digital where you can look at it straight away and delete it if it's not right, but I think it was worth it because the photos really did turn out unique!
Here's some behind the scenes shots

Yes, if I sit on the chair my feet don't touch the ground...

That camera

I'm so happy and grateful I got this opportunity!
Thank you so soo much to everyone involved!
if you read the article, you might spot some other sneaky news too

Next up, I'm happy to announce I'll be attending Yorkshire Cosplay Con 6 as a special guest at Doncaster Dome, 14th June 2014!

I'm really looking forward to going there, it's a local event that I've wanted to go to for sometime, I literally just have to hop on a bus. I hope I can see some of you there!

Another exciting thing!
My video 10 Steps To Become Real Life Anime has been featured on quite a few articles online, including Rocket News 24!
It was posted on the Japanese website here

Then the English website also created an article here

Oh, if you haven't seen the video, here it is!

I'm really overwhelmed by the response this video has had, I didn't expect it to get this recognition!
It was so much fun to film, and is kind of in a parody manner (I thought I should mention that since some people actually think I'm being serious). Also thank you so much to Dave from Boyinaband for doing this collab with me!
We also did a collab video on his youtube too:
How to Dance to 10 Music Genres

Also, if you didn't know, I'm also happy to announce, I am a judge for cosmate's contest with many other awesome people including these guys:

There are some really great prizes up for grabs, so if you want to know more, check out the contest page here

Well, I think that is everything for now!

If you want to keep up to date with my videos (I've uploaded quite a lot recently and hopefully they'll be a video tomorrow too!) click here.

I also post some of my news and lots of other random things on these social links:

Thank you so much for reading, and I hope you have a lovely dovely day!

Juizy Woozy!

Hello you, I hope you're good!

So today we have a really cute review for a brand called Juizy Woozy!

First off..how cool is that name?? It's so much fun to say!

Juizy Woozy is already pretty popular in Asia, which has exploded onto the scene because of it's vibrant and colourful, casual clothing. They have their own original adorable characters and you can get them on clothing, bags and shoes! But there is some great news! The lines are going to be sold in the U.K at KeepItSecret. At the moment, this will be the only U.K retailer, although it might change in the future. There isn't currently a launch date in the U.K, but it's going to be the first part of this year...so that's really exciting!

I was really lucky to be sent a product to review and gosh darn it, it's the cutest thing ever!

HNY! ~ My style throughout 2013!

Hello you, I hope you're good!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

2014! Woo! For me, it still doesn't feel like New Year to be honest. I don't know why, maybe because I was working last night, but maybe later on today one of my alpacas will wave their magic wand and go "A New Year, A New YOU!" Or something...I dunno.

I don't really have any New Years resolutions. I always go by the rule, work hard, play hard and be nice to people... and it seems to work every year!

And get better at Japanese...ok that might be a resolution.

Oh! I have a video up of bloopers, outtakes and unseen footage from this year and the other years I've been on youtube too!

I feel 2013 has been a year of style for me. I've always been into fashion and stuff, but I seemed to get proper into it this time. I also feel that 2013 my style changed and turned quite a lot, so I thought it would be fun to have a look throughout the year!

Ok let's go!

I have a new name | Romwe Review

Hello you I hope you're good!

So, you may have noticed this blog page has had a bit of a makeover, along with a new name!. I didn't really like the layout before and since I no longer have a real website, I thought I would merge it all into one! Also, some of you may know how much I hate the name KimonoTime T_____T

You might also have noticed that there are some new pictures on my banner and around my blog....which means review time!

Oooooooo I have red hair now too. I'm such a rebel, I feel like burning things now.

Anyway...

This time, I'm reviewing the websites Choies and Romwe.

☺Romwe!☺

Hello you ,I hope you're good!
Look, I made a flower crown! I feel so magical

Sparkle sparkle~

It's been a while since I've blogged, I'm really sorry, I've been sorting a lot of things out in my life, some pretty big and possibly exciting stuff! So hopefully you will know about it soon! But for now I like to be all dark and mysterious like those anime characters or something.

Anyhoo

While I've been away from blogging, I am proud to announce that I got sponsored by Romwe!
I've had my eye on the store for a while, and a lot of things on my wishlist are from here, so I'm over the moon to be affiliated with such an awesome store! I also got the Mike Wazowski top from Romwe! (You can see the blogpost about that here.) I do believe they post worldwide, so that's a bonus.
They have also let me host a giveaway on my facebook page for these amazing tights!

There's only 3 days left, so click here to join in the giveaway!

So, today after eagerly waiting at the letterbox for what feels like forever, I got it a package from them this morning!

✿My very floral vintage day✿

Hello you, I hope you're doing good!

So yesterday, I had a pretty floral day...

I'm a little addicted to photo editing apps at the moment. I used the sweet filter on camera 360, the sweety filter on photowonder, then a new app called studio for the frame and then Papelook for the flower stamps! But the floral doesn't stop there...oh no!...

I'm a Primark Monster!

Well hello you, I hope you're good!

The past few days have been really fun, so I thought I'd share some of it with you!

On Saturday it was my sister's birthday, so we had a party at our house. Me and Abbi (my sister) used to go to the same theatre school, so we share some of the same friends, so I got to see them again, which was really nice!

My mum thought it would be cool to have pie and peas, and hotdogs instead of a full BBQ, so we had that instead! Mmmmm yummy (I don't like pie and peas though, so I had a hotdog).

I didn't take many pictures that day, but I did post a mini vine!

It took me forever to figure out how to embed this thing, so if it's not working, I'm KimonoTime on vine too.

I also got a picture of Abbi's cake!

Our whole family loves Disney, and her favourite is Snow White. Disney is not just for kids!!
Ahhh it's so pretty! We really don't want to eat it.
My Mum's friend made the cake, and there was an actual Barbie inside. However, she tried to dye the Barbies hair black and the hair dye got on her face, so she looks a little...purple. Oops.

I also took a sneaky picture of what I wore in my room.

I was feeling a little 80's that day!

Bargain Hunter!

Hello you, I hope you're good!
So, here's my first kind of style post ^^
I'm always asked online where do I shop, so I thought I would start doing posts about my latest purchases, so then you know!
I really love getting a bargain and I am willing to hunt for clothes too. People are always asking me how I can afford so many clothes, well to be honest, I don't spend that much...(unless it's something reeeeeeeealy nice then I save up)
And, I get given hand me downs because I'm small haha.

This is an an entire outfit from hand me downs (apart from the socks and bow which are from Primark)

Wohoo for hand me downs!

So, the other day I decided to go for a charity shop hunt. Usually there are loads of nifty things I can find, but this time there wasn't really much ;A;
I was after an oversized denim jacket, but I couldn't find one. But I did find this instead for £3.00

~Hyper Japan July 2013~

Hello everyone I hope you're doing good.
Well I guess, first of all welcome to my new blog! I've been wanting to do a blogspot for a long time, and I did have one before, but this time...I will stick to it! I promise! I've had a huge woosh of inspiration and determination! So I'm writing this down so if I do fail to update it often I will look pretty silly and lazy that I didn't keep it up.
But maaan, it took me so long to set this up, I still don't know my way around blogger very well, and it took me forever to do the graphics and the layout. I don't have much experience in it, so when I get better, I'll change it. But for now, what do you think?
I plan to put on this blog lifestyle posts, fashion related things, reviews and general rambling and...thingies. I may even at some point set themes or a topic to follow for each day/week depending on how dedicated I become to this blog. I'm on the internet all the time, so there really isn't an excuse!

So...

Hyper Japan!

As some of you may know, I've been going to this event for quite some time now, and it's seriously one of my favourite conventions to go to in the year! I think it's because it focuses more on the Japanese culture and Japanese fashion more than any other cons in the U.K. Also, it's a big event, but not over big like MCM can be sometimes. And of course, all my friends seem to go to this one too, which makes it even better!

I went on Saturday and Sunday and this time instead of being in Earls Court One, they put it in the larger hall in Earls Court Two. Personally, I think it is so much better! There's so much more space to walk around. The only downside was the lighting! It was so bad and yellow! So in advance, I apologise about the pictures! I tried my best to edit them.

So, are you ready for a picture overload!?

I stole these pictures from Abi haha. But we cosplayed Reese and Cyrus the Alpacas from Animal Crossing New Leaf on the Saturday! It was so warm, but so worth it! There was even an animal crossing section with a photo booth in it, although since we're only 5ft tall each we could hardly reach the camera! We chilled in that section a few times and played on our Nintendo's, I got so many street pases, and I even finished the street pass quest! Wohoo! We also entered the cosplay masquerade, and to be honest I think we should have won the award for goofiest pair...I mean, I even walked off the wrong side of the stage and had to run across like an idiot ;____;

I found this amazing van that was pink and all pimped out, so I had to have a picture in it...if I ever go on tour this is the one!

Hnnng, such a beautiful dress at the Lockshop Stall!

And, I love these rings from Lockshop too, I really am going to get one one day!

I loved these bows from Electric Sweet, they're beautifully hand made and she was actually making one when I visited the store.

Candy Geisha was probably one of my favourite stalls when I was there. I've seen their products online on facebook and they're store envy (you should check them out) and my photo's really don't do it justice. The products are so beautifully made and I really couldn't decide which one I liked best to buy. A lot of things are going straight onto my wishlist! My favourite collection was the deadly cute part, I think....I couldn't decide hahah!

There were sooooo many alpaca stores but LoveJojo's was the cutest! Look at them all so fluffy!! I reckon my room is going to be like this one day omg.
These custom sunglasses from Roxie Sweetheart were so cool too! I think I'm going to have to put these on my wishlist too! (I'm going to be so poor!)
I also really loved their little mascot doll. She looks so cool! And look at all the Pamyu things! (I'm a huge fan of Kyary Pamyu Pamyu...just in case you didn't know!)
This was my cord for the Sunday. I've never really tried Fairy Kei before, but I really enjoyed wearing it! I felt like a sparkly cupcake! What's great is that most of the things I'm wearing are from the U.K too.
From head to toe
Bow: Local Fancy Dress Store
Eyeball bows: Store from London Anime Con
Hoodie: Primark Kids
T-Shirt: Mens Section in Bank
Petticoat: It's actually layered, but the top lilac one is from Claires, and the ones underneath are just random ones I've gotten from ebay and fancy dress stores.
Pink Striped Socks: Ebay
Yellow and Pink Socks: Local Market
Leg Warmers: Claires
Creepers: Ebay

Also, thank you Estatic Arts for the picture!

On the Sunday I hung around with a lot of Oishii friends (Cherry, Scarlett, Charlotte), and we went shopping, did so much Karaoke and ate Katsu Curry (which was heaven!) The Wii U Karaoke even had Japanese and Anime songs! So good!

This is my friend Andy with one of the guys from Siro-A. Oh my gosh! These guys were amazing! They did a show which includes projections and visual arts. It was so different and enjoyable! The were also very crazy dancing around everywhere!

So, what did I actually get from Hyper Japan?

Ta daaaa! I got July's Kera magazine, some photos from the Animal Crossing booth (they were free yey!) a free Kyary badge, a free CD (I need to listen to this, and I'll let you guys know what it's like!) and......a wig! I am in LOVE. I really am obsessed with wigs, and as soon as I saw this I knew I really wanted it.I was hesitant at first to buy it, because it wasn't cheap at £28 but there was a girl trying it on at the Tofu Cute stall and it was the last one. I was thinking, "Please don't buy it!". Because it looks so beautiful on. And to my surprise she didn't buy it! I kept saying it was fate, so I bought it and I feel like a magical being wearing it.

I also tried out a new makeup style, without putting eyeliner on the top, I never thought I would do this, but I may have to wear it like this more often!

Ahhhh, it was so worth the money! I will do a proper cord and review on it once I've worn it a few times. Also sorry M (if you're reading this) for taking it in your room....hahah!

This weekend was really worth the travel down to London for, and it was so lovely meeting all my friends and all you guys who came up to me to say hi too! I really do apologise if I come across awkward...I just become a bit shy sometimes.

So, I hope you enjoyed my first blog post and I shall see you soon!

Kelsey! ~<3
